According to experts, we are leaving our children and grandchildren a frightening inheritance: an increased accumulation of so-called greenhouse gases in the atmosphere and the potentially disastrous climate change that this increase may bring about. However, the science community is not speaking with one voice. Other scientists claim that the evidence for global warming is inconclusive and argue that predictions based on it are questionable. The scientific debate has been intense. It has also fuelled a political controversy about what measures, if any, should be taken to address the possible problem of climate change.

Ans: Many of today’s immigrants to the United States are not from Europe but from other parts of the world. Previously most of the immigrants were from Europe.

Before the 1960s, the majority of immigrants were Europeans. There was a biased law which gave privilege to the European people. Since the 1960s, the United States has become more culturally diverse more cultural than at any other time in its history.

Now most of the immigrants in the USA are form Asia and elsewhere form the developing world. Since the 1960s, the United States has supported cultural diversity by developing a policy that is often known as multiculturalism. It has changed its immigration laws and policy. In the United States the Bilingual Education Act of 1968 and 1978 provided funds to educated children of non-English speaking immigrants.

In the 1960s, the American government made is previous biased immigration policy as unlawful. The American government has realized that immigrants have benefited the country. The foreign people have contributed to the national development. The majority of American people have realized that the government should encourage people from all over the world to migrate into the USA. When immigration policy has been implemented people from all over the world are encouraged to enter America. The immigrants are allowed to use their native language in society. Today people from all over the world have migrated into the USA.

The majority of contemporary immigrants come from Asia and Latin America including refugees form war-torn parts of the world. When America changed its immigration policy, people from all over the world got equal opportunity to enter the USA. The changed immigration policy encourages people from all over the world to enter into the USA. Even the migrated people got the opportunity to get their children educated in their native language. As a nation of immigrants, the native people are in favor of immigration. Previously there was prejudice over the Asian people. Such prejudice has been made illegal and all people are taken equally. So, the changed immigration has become the main cause to encourage Asian people to migrate into the USA.

Explain in detail about the connection between a country’s population and a country’s ecology as well as economic development.

Ans: Over population is the main cause of ecological destruction. It has further invited many problems on the earth. At the beginning of the 19th century, the number of population was less than one billion. During that time, a human being had a negligible influence on the ecology of the earth as a whole. By 2000, the number of population crossed 6.1 billion. The pressure of over population and poverty forces people to cut down the dense forest to provide wood for heating and construction, food for animals and land to raise crops. As a result of the deforestation, the topsoil is eroded by rain and wind. In order to provide employment and earn money form exports developing countries have been cutting down the dense forest.

As a result of deforestation, there is an ecological problem in the world. People are likely to face any kind of the face of natural disasters in the world. The impact of the deforestation has crossed the national boundary. The burning of the forests releases large amounts of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. The emission of carbon dioxide gases is causing disastrous developing countries have followed the traditional method of development.

As a result of over population, people have started industrialization. People cannot sustain their lives by following the traditional way of farming. The use of automobile and industrialization release a thick layer of smoke in the environment. The flame of smoke directly reaches the ozone layer causing environmental pollution. It reduces the ozone layer and the ultra-violet rays directly come onto the earth causing many kinds of disease. The economic development further invites environmental problem. Most of the danger to the world’s ecological systems comes directly form the attempts of nations to pursue economic development.

The developed countries should ask developing countries to change their traditional development strategies. The developed countries have exploited natural resources to pursue economic development. The developing countries have also started following the traditional pattern of development. The short-sighted view of developing the nations has a method of development. We should give priority over the sustainable development. Thus, the impact of overpopulation and economic development has caused pollution in the environment.
